Public Works Department
The Public Works Department is comprised of a Public Works Superintendent and four Public Works field employees. The City contracts with Ogden Murphy Wallace for City Attorney Services, and with HNTB for City Engineer services. The City provides water and sewer utilities, and contracts with Recology for solid waste collection. The City entered into an agreement with King County Wastewater Treatment Division to design, build, and operate the sewage treatment facility.
Snow Plowing & Map
City streets are plowed when snow reaches 3" of accumulation. Arterials are plowed first, then Collectors, then Neighborhood Streets, then Cul de Sacs. Hours of plowing are between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Snow is pushed to the side of the street, in cul de sacs snow is moved to the best possible location. Residents and business owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of their properties.
