Carnation City Manager Ken Carter passes away

Carnation City Manager Ken Carter passed away on Tuesday, March 24, after a year-long battle with cancer.  As City Manager from November 2009 until his death in 2015, Mr. Carter's experienced leadership and sensible practicality successfully guided the City through the difficult fiscal circumstances of the recent economic recession.  He cared deeply for the Carnation community, and was greatly respected by citizens, City Councilmembers and City Staff alike.  He will be very much missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 1:30 PM at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland (10021 NE 124th Street, Kirkland).  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland or the Salvation Army.
