Booster Pump Station
A booster pump station is being installed at the City Shop on E Entwistle St to improve water pressure in the city neighborhoods to the east. The booster pump station is sized to meet the future build-out peak hour demand and provides for a minimum 100 gpm flow at a static water pressure between 50 and 60 psi. The project includes construction of a packaged booster station including electrical and telemetry control connections, approximately 75 lineal feet of 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water mains including fittings, thrust restraint, hydrant assemblies, and site and pavement restoration.
The project cost is $522,596. John Day Homes is contributing an estimated $103,303 towards the cost of the project, and the remainder is funded by water GFCs and the water capital surcharge revenue in the City's 402 Water Capital Improvement Fund.
The City awarded a contract for construction of the project to Larry Brown Construction on October 5, 2021.
The project is expected to complete construction by May 2022
